Dear Parents,
Our class received several "Thank You"
notes from individuals & families who received our Shabbat/Chanukah
packages. Allison, Rabbi Starr & and I could have not been more proud!
Thank you to those of you who took the time to deliver packages. I know it
meant a lot to the recipients. Rabbi Starr visited our class today and
expressed the Mitzvah so beautifully. Telling the children that they have done
something very "holy". The children shared some of their "acts
of kindness" that they participated in during their vacation. It was a
great way to return to our religious studies!
We reviewed our Torah values that were studied
thus far. Hachnasat Orchim ( Hospitality)
and Shalom Bayit ( peace in the home).
Reminding the kids about Sarah & Abrahams journey, religiously and
physically to the land of Israel. Their family struggles and their complete
faith in God. This Sunday we will begin our next Chapter, studying the death of
Sarah, purchase of the Cave of Machpelah & finding a wife for Isaac.
Wishing you all a healthy, happy New Year!
Cillia Kleiman
