Dear Fourth-Sixth Grade Families-
We have had another busy week in Hebrew. Sharpening reading skills is always so much
more fun and productive through playing games and working with a partner.
In the Fourth Grade, we continued to learn different
blessings and commandments. We had so
much fun playing "Hebrew Basketball" and "popcorn."
In the Fifth/Sixth Grade, class time seemed to fly by as
we played "Hebrew Baseball" with the lines of the Kaddish. We
discussed how Aramaic is different from Hebrew, yet is written in the same
letters and vowels. The kids did a great job reading in Aramaic.
With the sad and scary current events in France, we also
touched upon the importance and strength of having the Jewish State of Israel
and how having a unified Jewish language connects us.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the Tikkun Olam
program at CSZ this Sunday during Religious School.
Shabbat Shalom!
Donna Katz
