What a great beginning to the school year!
We began our class working on a "Welcome Word Search". Together we talked about why Morah Robinson selected these words for our word search puzzle. We did class introductions and your children shared with the class something fun they did this summer and also something Jewish they do.They created a name card so we can all learn each others' names.
We participated in an all school taschlich . It was a great segue to what we did next in our class room. I shared with your children the book " The Hardest Word". Ask your kids what the hardest word is.
After that they completed a writing prompt about something they are sorry about. We finished class doing a holiday puzzle and playing a holiday matching game.
Your children should have brought home a take home folder. In it should be their word search and writing prompt. After you have seen these, please take them out. In the other pocket is homework for you. Please fill this out with your children so they can share with the class about their name. We will use these in a lesson in the coming weeks.
Next Sunday, September 27 there is no formal class, rather the e-rce hunger event . We will meet again as a class on Sunday, October 4.
