Dear
4th - 6th grade parents,
All
3 grades are moving along beautifully! The 4th graders have completed their
testing and have been assigned to reading groups. We worked on reviewing the
letters and vowels, and the kids took turns reading from their books. They are
already making wonderful progress! By the end of the day on Tuesday, the kids
were reading words with several letter/vowel combinations without any trouble -
I could see how proud they were of themselves!
5th
and 6th grades are also making nice progress, and have been reviewing and practicing
as well. We played a Hebrew reading game called "popcorn", where the
kids read words and then randomly call on others to pick up where they left
off. This is a wonderful way for everyone to stay on task. They really seemed
to enjoy this. Throughout the year we will be playing various games in all 3
grades which help to make learning and reading Hebrew lots of fun!
As
always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
Wishing
you all an easy fast, and G'mar Chatimah Tovah!
-
Dona Levinson
